This is the pinnacle of sunglasses shops. Why? The people. Jessinia is beyond fantastic. Her knowledge of eyewear, coupled with her love for people, is unsurpassed. We only shop here, and it’s because of her.

I recently visited Warby Parker Wynwood for an eye exam and was thoroughly disappointed by the service I received. From the moment I walked in, the lack of professionalism was evident. The doctor, who did not bother to introduce herself or even greet me, attempted to rush me into the exam without properly checking me in or taking my information. This immediate oversight set a tone of negligence and impersonality that persisted throughout my visit. The environment did not help either and the staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than assisting customers. Regarding the eye exam itself, it felt rushed and perfunctory. The doctor seemed disinterested in my questions and concerns, providing minimal explanations and seeming eager to move on. This lack of engagement made me question the thoroughness and accuracy of the examination and foresee that they are probably rushing you to get an exam and then overcharge you way over your insurance coverage. This lack of transparency, especially when it comes to healthcare services, is unacceptable. Needless to say, I ran.

It’s hard to find red frames I was able to choose from five. When I narrowed it down there were two that I liked best. A hard choice. That doesn’t happen every day . The saleswoman gave me her honest opinion. I appreciated that. Sold. Bought another color as well.

So I have always usually ordered online and picked up glasses in store for a proper fitting. I typically use America’s Best in midtown for eye exam. I figured this time I would do an exam and purchase my glasses in store this time with Warby Parker. First, it was Wynwood and not Design District location (apparently shutdown) and prior to going I figured I would make a PDF of my insurance card just in case there might be any changes. I park and walk in and get to their location and realized I needed a restroom. They tell me I cannot use it because their safe is in the bathroom and instruct me to go to the pizza joint across the street. I’m like. Ok. I am spending some time here and also dropping a few hundreds dollars in product. I asked how long their scripts are good for and they said a year for both contact and eyeglasses. I found it odd as I always had them for 2 years and I blurted out how I felt it was a money grab. Per state law, In the State of Florida, contact lens prescriptions with the exception of daily disposable contact lenses are valid for a period of 1 year. Daily disposable contact lens prescriptions are valid for 2 years given their improved safety profile over reusable contact lenses. Then when it came time to access my insurance he says he can’t find it. And tried multiple times and ways to look it up with no success. I am very agitated and frustrated at this point and ask if he can call in to verify and he refuses to do so. Which then sets me really off. He gets defensive and I ultimately ended up leaving with nothing. I called corporate and shared my experience. The supervisor I spoke with, and I at the same time was able to pull up my info with no issue and she agreed that he could have attempted to call it in. They were very apologetic but in an email from the supervisor stated, “My team did mention feeling really uncomfortable by how upset you were when you came in to the store and that may have caused them to be a bit on the defense” sounding as if I had an axe to grind before I arrived, which was not the case. The avalanche of issues after I arrived were what upset me. Needless to say, after that I decided I would refrain from any future business with WP for now. There is a reason why I preferred online purchasing as the whole retail experience was a disappointment. I would get multiple compliments on my WP glasses so the happiness with the product was killed by this experience for now.

This was my first time going to Warby Parker and I fell in love. The staff is welcoming, super friendly and knowledgeable. There’s a great selection of glasses. I was in and out of store in less than an hour and got 8 pairs of glasses. I can’t wait to go back!!!

Excellent customer service and always a great experience. This is the second time I’ve shopped at this location and will definitely return!
